Who are we?

The AXA Medical Center began its trajectory in 2006, as a result of the concern of AXA and a group of doctors to offer a personalized and exclusive treatment for AXA Health policyholders, through a center that would cover the most global medical specialties and be a reference for AXA Health in the city of Barcelona.

Throughout the 15 years of life of the Center, the acceptance by private clients and policyholders attended in our facilities, has been so positive both in the treatment and assistance received, that the demand for care has been increasing gradually and in the last 3 years this demand has increased exponentially, For this reason, in 2022, the Axa Medical Center in Girona Street, a few meters away from the initial one in Gran Vía de Les Corts Catalanes, has been enlarged and remodeled to enlarge and improve the required spaces.

The main objective of the Medical Center is from its origins to be able to provide comprehensive, human, quality and personalized assistance whether or not you are an AXA policyholder, responding to their health needs and accompanying them in the management of the benefit with the company.

We have expanded and modernized our facilities to make your experience more comfortable and pleasant. This project, designed by the architectural firm BRUC Arquitectes, meets all the criteria of sustainability and ergonomics that favor the comfort of the visitor.
 
  • Privacy is important in the consultation rooms, so acoustic insulation is guaranteed to facilitate the tranquility of the doctor/patient relationship.
  • The center incorporates state-of-the-art ventilation and air renewal systems that control indoor air quality, temperature and aerosol levels.
  • The quality of the lighting, silence, cleanliness, comfort and ergonomics create a pleasant environment for patients and their companions.
Currently, the AXA Medical Center has two entrances, one on Gran Vía de les Corts Catalanes Street and the other on Girona Street.
 Gran Vía Access

The access to the Medical Center from Gran Vía Street, located on one of the main roads in Barcelona, is the longest access to the center. This year, the physiotherapy area has been remodeled to adapt it to the style and new needs of the center.

Outstanding services

  • Dental Clinic

    The need to improve the oral and dental services, the great demand for treatments and the current needs, have led us to expand the dental clinic from 3 to 4 boxes.

  • Physiotherapy

    The new physiotherapy space frees up a large central panoptic working space and concentrates up to 6 boxes, a medical area and a storeroom on the perimeter. The renovated aesthetics of the space generates a relaxed and comfortable environment where you can concentrate on rehabilitation exercises.

  • Pain unit

    There is a pain unit for the study and treatment of complex pain such as chronic pain, which does not respond to any other type of therapy or treatment.

  • Waiting room

    The waiting room is a fully functional space. The combination of white, wood and colored textile furniture generates a feeling of visual comfort that, together with the light, transmits the calm and relaxation that is needed.

  • Reception

    The design of the reception area allows the patient to move intuitively to the consultation rooms, without having to wonder where to go or where to wait. A 75" monitor provides information of interest to clients.

  • Consultations

    All the consultation rooms are distributed in a similar way; they have a higher space with more intense lights and a sequence of environments that separate the patient care, the stretcher and end in a clinical furniture, sober, but with details that add character.
